Communication channel integrations

Email integration

Bloomreach Engagement offers immense emailing capabilities! You can read more in our sizeable and comprehensive documentation dedicated to emailing - Working with emails.

To be able to send emails via Bloomreach Engagement, your marketing subdomain needs to be integrated with one of our providers; we strongly recommend using Mailgun.

The following integrations are available.

TypeDescription
Shared IPIn this case, a shared IP instead of a dedicated one will be used due to the volume of the email sent.

First, you will need to provide the subdomain to be used for sending emails and historical deliverability information to Bloomreach (via deliverability questionnaire). Bloomreach will pass this information to MailGun. Bloomreach will also create a new Mailgun account. This will automatically create DNS settings. You will then need to edit your DNS records based on the settings Bloomreach will have sent. Once this is done, Bloomreach will configure Mailgun inside the Bloomreach Engagement app to finish the integration.

One dedicated IPIn this case, a dedicated IP will be used to ensure a domain with high deliverability reputation among ISPs.

Bloomreach will pass this information to MailGun. Bloomreach will also create a new Mailgun account. This will automatically create DNS settings. SMS

Bloomreach Engagement enables you to easily run personalized SMS campaigns allowing one-to-one communication with your customers.

To activate the SMS nodes in your campaigns, it is necessary to set up an SMS account. SMS are covered by Bloomreach Engagement's directly-integrated providers (e.g. Sinch). This function enables the sending of one-way outbound SMS communication.

To learn more about SMS messaging, see our SMS Campaigns documentation.

The following integrations are available.

TypeDescription
No unsubscribe linkIt is not possible for customers to respond and/or opt-out from marketing communication directly in SMS.
Static unsubscribe linkThe SMS sender offers customers the option to change marketing preferences in the form of a static URL redirecting to a consent page, which is maintained by you. This link should be universal for all customers.
Dynamic unsubscribe linkThe SMS sender offers customers the option to change marketing preferences in the form of a dynamic URL redirecting to a consent page, which is maintained by you. This link is different per each client and is part of the customer profile.

When using a default provider, make sure to select one in project settings. When using a custom provider, ensure that the custom provider integration is in place and that this provider is selected as SMS service provider in project settings.

Additional custom integrations for SMS are available upon request. See the Additional integrations page for more detail.

Web push notifications

Web push notifications provide yet another channel to communicate with your customers.

To learn more about web push notifications, see our Browser push notifications or Scenarios documentation pages. This includes a guide on how to set up and integrate the push notifications.

The following integration is available.

TypeDescription
Web push notificationsTo implement web push notifications, support from a technical resource on your side is necessary. The primary function of this person will be to place the service-worker.js file on a server-side of the webpage as well as an HTML tag. Ensure that the latest version of the JS snippet is in place on the website.

Once this task is complete, the push notification itself can easily be set up and deployed via Bloomreach Engagement Scenarios.

Mobile push notifications

Mobile push notification (“rich push notification”) is a textual push notification with the addition of media (images) and interaction (buttons).

To learn more about Mobile push notifications, see our Mobile Push notifications documentation. This includes a guide on how to integrate your mobile app with Bloomreach Engagement.

The following integration is available.

TypeDescription
Mobile push notificationsYou are responsible for the deployment of Bloomreach Engagement's Mobile SDK and the setup and deployment of all notifications. Once you have everything set up, it is recommended that you test by running one scenario where a mobile push notification node is executed and the notification is delivered.

For Android:

  • Make sure Bloomreach Engagement Android SDK is installed and configured.
  • Set up FCM platform to send push notifications to Android devices.

For iOS:

  • Make sure Bloomreach Engagement iOS SDK is installed and configured.
  • Set up Apple developer center to send push notifications to IOS devices.
