User settings

User settings is where you manage everything tied to your personal account: your personal information, password, two-step verification, and notification settings. These settings are yours alone and don't affect other users or projects.

Users are linked to specific people. Each user can access multiple projects across different accounts. Inviting a new user is free and done through Access management in Project settings.

To open user settings, click Settings in the top-right corner of the app and select User settings.

Basic settings

Open Basic settings to edit your personal details (name, last name, email, role). You can also set the default time zone and locale.

Time zone

Your choice of the timezone impacts how dates, hours, and times are displayed within the application. This is because the application acknowledges and accommodates the historical changes in time zones as well as the daylight saving time practices. It also determines how time-based data is calculated in analyses and reports.

For example, the date filter yesterday for metrics like session_start is evaluated in your profile timezone. This means 2 users with different time zones can see different counts for the same date filter. Both results are correct.

Change password

Use the Change password section to update your account password.

The Security section is where you set up and manage two-step verification. For full details, see Two-step verification.

Notification settings

Use Notification settings to manage how the app communicates with you.

Notifications

Choose how you want to receive notifications:

Email: Get notifications sent to your email address.
Slack: Get notifications via the Slack integration.

Email digest

You can receive any analysis regularly by email. To set it up, open the analysis, click the three-dot menu in the top-right corner, select Send via email, and choose how often you'd like to receive updates. Read more about the reports in emails.
