Mailgun
Mailgun is an email delivery service built for developers. This integration lets you send emails from your verified domains through Bloomreach using Mailgun as the delivery provider.
Prerequisites
- A Mailgun account—create one or use an existing one.
- Permission to update your domain's DNS settings.
- A Bloomreach project with access to Integrations.
NoteWe recommend a dedicated Mailgun account for Bloomreach. Once configured, Mailgun sends webhooks to Bloomreach for every email sent from that account—using a shared account may have privacy and performance implications.
Set up the integration
- Follow Mailgun's verification steps to activate your account.
- Add a new domain in Mailgun and follow their steps to verify your domain and DNS records. This step is required for the integration to work fully and may take up to an hour—sometimes longer. Consult your technical team if you need help updating DNS settings.
- In Mailgun, go to Settings > API Keys and copy your domain name and API key.

- Go to Data & Assets > Integrations > Add new integration and select Mailgun. Enter your domain name and API key.

WarningBloomreach allows the same API key across multiple integrations and projects, but this isn't recommended. All integrations sharing an API key share a single webhook for tracking delivered campaign events. Deleting any integration with a shared API key removes the webhook and stops delivery tracking for all affected projects.
- If you didn't select Handle webhooks automatically, copy the tracking hook URL shown after saving the integration.

- In Mailgun, go to Webhooks and paste the URL into all available fields.

Next steps
- To set Mailgun as your default email provider, see Default email settings.
- For more on webhooks, see Webhooks.
