Step 2: Understand the Use Case Logic

The logic of the use case lies in actively monitoring products that customers viewed but were out of stock. When such a product restocks, it automatically notifies interested customers via SMS, encouraging them to revisit the product and purchase.

Here's a detailed breakdown of how it works:

  1. Trigger: This system's initial trigger is the 'view_item' event when a customer views an out-of-stock product.
  2. Condition Nodes: The use case utilizes condition nodes to determine the requirements. You will need to ensure that the correct consent is chosen, the accurate customer property is selected, and the catalog name is correctly updated within the nodes of both flows.
  3. Checks: It continually checks the stock levels of these flagged products and promptly sends an SMS to customers once they are back in stock.

To set up and run the use case correctly, you might need to adjust certain parameters:

  1. Consent and customer property in the condition nodes.
  2. The appropriate catalog names in the nodes.
  3. An SMS message to align with your brand and correctly reflect the item in stock.

For testing purposes, create a specific condition node for tester emails, turn off any waiting nodes from the scenario, and exclude several checks from the first flow. After testing, if no SMS alert is received, it could be due to missing SMS consent, missing phone number, or discrepancies in the product's stock status.

Upon successful testing, you can restore the scenario to its initial settings and launch it by clicking the 'Start' button. Post-launch, it is crucial to assess its performance using the Evaluate > SMS - Revenue - Campaign Evaluation section to review its impact on conversions and revenue.
