There are three types of domains used by Bloomreach Engagement that can be customized:

  • Bloomreach Engagement APP domain

  • CDN domain

  • [Custom tracking domain](🔗)

### Custom APP domain

The default APP domain is app.exponea.com, where the user can log in into the Bloomreach Engagement application.

Availability

Custom APP domain is only available for clients with private or exclusive instances. There are security and performance advantages for private and exclusive instances. Contact your CSM or Sales for more information.

### Custom CDN domain

The default CDN domain is cdn.exponea.com. It has several functions, namely:

  • Consent page

  • Surveys

  • Email click tracking - all email links go through the CDN link and then redirect to the target URL

  • Email open tracking pixel

In order to set up the custom CDN domain, DNS records need to be added on both Bloomreach Engagement and the client's side.

Editing

Be aware that only the Instance Manager and Superadmin roles can see and edit the CDN setting field.

Once the the DNS records are set up, the domain needs to be set up in the respective project(s) where you expect the domain to be used. This should be performed in Project Settings by filling in the field "Custom Public URL" as shown below. Do not forget to save the settings.

### Custom Tracking Domain

By default, Bloomreach Engagement uses the api.exponea.com domain to serve JS SDK, service worker for web push notifications, and all of our API endpoints. However, you can configure a Custom Tracking Domain, find out more [here](🔗).
