Bulk Select Products
Before you can apply Bulk Operations, you must first select products for Bulk Operations using one of the following methods:
- Bulk select products individually.
- Bulk select products with operations applied.
- Bulk search and select products by Product ID.
Bulk selecting a product enables Bulk Operation mode, which allows you to apply operations to the selected products.
Note: Bulk Operation mode has some restrictions, which you can read about in the Bulk Operation Mode Restrictions section.
Bulk select products individually
- Open the Product Grid Editor in the Dashboard.
- In the Product Grid Editor, go to one of the following tabs:
- Product tab on the left-hand search panel.
- Visual Editor tab on the right.
- Changes tab on the right.
- Hover over the upper left corner of any product card. This displays a checkbox (highlighted in red in the next screenshot).
- Select the checkbox to include that product in the next Bulk Operation. This also enables Bulk Operation mode, which reveals the checkboxes for other products and the Bulk Operation menu.
Note:Â When the checkboxes are visible, you can click anywhere on the product card to select it.
- To add products to the current selection, select any unselected product. To remove products from the current selection, click on any checked box, and it will become unchecked.
Bulk select products with operations applied
- Open the Product Grid Editor in the Dashboard.
- In the Product Grid Editor, go to the Changes tab.
- Hover over the upper left corner of any product card. This reveals a checkbox (highlighted in red in the next screenshot).
- Select the checkbox to include that product in the next Bulk Operation. This also enables Bulk Operation mode, which reveals the checkboxes for other products and the Bulk Operation menu.
- Select Select All to select all products with a specific operation applied. For example, you could select all Locked Products or all Boosted Products.
Bulk search and select by Product IDs
You can search and select multiple products in bulk at once in two ways:
- Copy and Paste PIDs
- Upload CSV
Please note that when you submit a list of products using either of these methods, we consider only the first 200 products.
Rules for bulk PID search
- PIDs should be unique and there should be no duplicates. Detected duplicates will be ignored, and only the first entry will be considered for the Bulk Operation selection sequence.
- Any empty values will be ignored.
- No special characters (except for valid PIDs).
- Open the Product Grid Editor in the dashboard.
- In the Product Grid Editor, go to the Product search panel on the left.
- Click on the Product Bulk selection icon at the right of the search bar.
- Choose your preferred method out of "Copy and Paste PIDs" and "Upload CSV" on the dialogue box that appears and hit Continue.
- Based on your choice, provide the PIDs as follows:
- Copy and Paste PIDs: In the PID entry field, enter a list of product IDs separated by commas, spaces, or lines, and click on "Continue" when done.
- Upload CSV: Upload a CSV file containing the PIDs that you want to search for, and click on "Upload" when done.
- All the products that are found will be automatically selected in the same sequence as the PIDs were entered.
- You can apply the same operation to all of them by choosing it from the "Select Operation" dropdown. More details about Applying Operations can be found in the linked guide.
The Recall toggle allows you to add or remove the selected products from the product grid.
Preview selected products
You can preview and confirm the selected products before applying operations by choosing "Preview selected products" from the action buttons.
This window also allows you to change the Selection Sequence to the order you want them to be added to the product grid.
- The system will display a message in case there are duplicate or unmatched PIDs.
Bulk search limit
You can only search for up to 1024 product IDs in a single search. If your list contains more than 1024 product IDs, the PID counter will display a warning and not let you continue.
Bulk Operation Mode Restrictions
Bulk Operation mode has two major restrictions on selecting products.
Bulk Operation mode limit
Bulk Operation mode can only be enabled in one side of the Product Grid Editor at a time, either the left-hand search panel or the Visual Editor/Changes tabs.Â
For example, if you have enabled Bulk Operation mode in the Visual Editor, then you cannot enable Bulk Operation mode in the left-hand search panel. In the screenshot below, the checkbox for Bulk Operation does not appear in the left-hand search panel.
Bulk search by product ID will also be disabled if you have enabled Bulk Operation mode in the Visual Editor, as shown in the screenshot below.
To enable Bulk Operation mode on the other side of the Product Grid Editor, you must first exit the active Bulk Operation mode by selecting the X at the far right of the Bulk Operation menu.Â
External rules and Bulk Operations
Products locked by an external rule (any rule other than the one you are working in) cannot be selected for Bulk Operations. The Product Grid indicates which products are affected by external rules, as well as which products are affected by the internal rule (the rule you are working in).
