Collections

Collections help users evaluate the performance of a group of entities, such as Products, Categories, Queries, and Pages. Users create a collection to see how a group of items perform together over time, as well as to compare the performance of each item in the group with the rest. 

Collection Management allows the user to add new and update existing collections. The collections can be created for the following entities:

  • Product 
  • Category 
  • Page
  • Query 
  • Brand

For each of the entities mentioned above, a separate report dashboard provides insights into collection performance. 

Note: For multisite customers, Collections created at the account level are automatically inherited at site group and site levels. Collections created at the site group level are inherited at the site level.

Product Collections

This performance collection report provides insights on the Performance Over Time, Top Gains and Losses Based on Performance Changes, as well as Improve Collection Performance.

Hard limit for Product Collections
There is a hard limit of 1000 PIDs per collection. Ensure that you do not cross this limit for the collections to work properly.

Performance Over Time

ReportDescription
Daily PerformanceThis report will show the performance of a collection of products across different metrics. The report can be aggregated on a daily and weekly basis to assess the collection performance over time.

The Collection performance report can be used to compare the individual product performance with the aggregated collection performance to get the benchmark for a particular product where the collection can represent a group of promoted, newly introduced products, etc.
Weekly PerformanceThis report will show the performance of a collection of products across different metrics. The report can be aggregated on a daily and weekly basis to assess the collection performance over time.

The Collection performance report can be used to compare the individual product performance with the aggregated collection performance to get the benchmark for a particular product where the collection can represent a group of promoted, newly introduced products, etc.

Top Gains and Losses Based on Performance Changes

Improve Collection Performance

ReportDescription
Best Selling Products in Collection The report shows the top converting products in a collection.
Source of Sales for Products in this collectionWith this report, you can find where best to promote a product using the last click conversion attribution to determine which categories, search terms, or products drove the most sales and visits to a particular product.
Products to add to this collection Based on the co-visits between the products in the collection and other products, the reports show the products, not in a collection sorted on the basis of the association score. Products with a high association score can be added to increase upsell, cross-sell revenue during the promotion of such product collections.
Products co-bought from this collectionThe Reports display the products that have been co-bought (conversion >= 1) with the products belonging to the collection.  The report is based on data from the entity co-visit tables for determining the co-bought products.  The report by default looks at the last 30 days of data only.
Categories co-viewed with this collection The report shows the categories that are often co-viewed with the products in the collection.

Category Collections

The Category Collection report provides insights on the Performance Over Time, Top Gains and Losses Based on Performance Changes, as well as the Drivers of Revenue and RPV Performance Change - Funnel Analysis.

  1. Identify Opportunities: Group products for performance tracking and optimizations. Site issues and trends lead to areas of opportunity. 
  2. Diagnose Issues: Diagnostic questions help drive a systematic exploration of Collections performance. This focus on specific questions helps to chart a clear and thorough path through Insights data. 
  3. Find Insights: Use Insights data from the Collections dashboard and reports and address the diagnostic questions. Combine Insights data with info from additional analytics tools and other customer-focused data. 
  4. Take Action: Vet conclusions drawn from data into actionable optimizations based on-site needs and business strategy. Use Insights to notate and track optimization activity for visibility into performance changes.
