Exclude From Apps
Welcome note
Data hub is our new upgraded platform, which we rolled out in August 2025. It offers a single unified integration for passing your data through to your Bloomreach products.
You have access to Data hub if you've implemented with Bloomreach after August 2025.
Customers who have implemented before August 2025 should follow the existing documentation for Engagement, Discovery, and Clarity.

Used By Apps:
Data Hub -
Required By Apps:
None
Specifies which applications should not receive the product or variant during data
distribution.
Data Hub uses this attribute to filter out products or variants from reaching specific
application destinations completely.
This provides granular control over which items are synchronized to different
applications, allowing for targeted item management.
Currently valid values are "discovery" and "engagement", with the system designed to
accommodate additional application identifiers as new Data Hub destinations become
available.
Valid Values
-
"discovery"- Excludes the item from Discovery application -
"engagement"- Excludes the item from Engagement application -
Additional values may be supported as new destinations are added to Data Hub
Processing Behavior
-
When a product or variant has an application in this list, it will not be sent to that
application -
If both
"engagement"and"discovery"are included, the product or variant will not
be present or visible to any applications outside of Data Hub -
The exclusion happens at the Data Hub distribution layer, preventing the item from
ever reaching the specified applications
General Usage
-
Preventing test or internal-only products from reaching customer-facing applications
-
Optimizing application performance by limiting collection size to relevant items only
