Onboarding guide

This guide explains who can use Loomi Connect, what each Bloomreach product needs before you connect, and where to go next. It covers 4 products: Search, Marketing, Data hub, and the Conversational agent.

Loomi Connect has 2 MCP servers:

Requirements for Search, Marketing, and Data hub

To use the Loomi Connect MCP server for Search, Data hub, or Marketing, meet the prerequisites in Get started with MCP, plus the following:

Requirement	Details
Unified login	Your organization must use unified login for both Search and Marketing.
User roles	You need access to the Search accounts, Marketing projects, or Data hub workspaces the agent uses. Your role decides what the agent can read and change.

Loomi Connect is in early access. You don't need a separate agreement. You accept the early access terms in the product each time you sign in.

Checklist for Search, Marketing, and Data hub

Search tools run on the same MCP server as Marketing and Data hub, so one connection covers all 3.

Search

Before you let an agent change Search configurations, check the following:

Write tools, such as ranking rules, redirects, and synonyms, need a role that can make the same change in the dashboard.
Changes apply to your live Search configuration. Test write actions on a development site or account first.

Marketing

Before you let an agent create Marketing content, check the following:

Write tools, such as creating campaigns, scenarios, and customer filters, need a role that can make the same change in the dashboard.
To limit the agent to certain projects, connect with a user who has access only to those projects.

Personal data

To keep personally identifiable information (PII) out of your AI application, connect with a role without PII access. If the user role can view PII in Marketing, the agent receives real customer PII values, such as email addresses and phone numbers, and passes them to your AI application.

Data hub

Before you let an agent change Data hub configurations, check the following:

Write tools, such as creating and updating item collections and their configurations, need a role that can make the same change in Data hub.
Item collections feed the catalogs that Marketing and Search use, so changes can affect both products. Test write actions on a non-production item collection first.

Requirements for Conversational agent

The Conversational agent uses a separate MCP server, the Conversations server. It lets your own agent use Bloomreach product discovery, ranking, and conversational intelligence, alongside the standard Bloomreach-hosted Conversational agent.

Ensure that you have a Conversational agent subscription and use unified login.

To evaluate the tools using sample catalog, connect to the shared prototype endpoint. See Connect the Conversations server.
To use your own catalog, Bloomreach sets up a customized Conversations server for you. Contact your Bloomreach representative or [email protected].

Connect AI application

Connect with your application like Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, ChatGPT, or your own agent.

When you meet the requirements, follow Get started with MCP to add the server, sign in, and verify the connection. Then try the prompts in Test MCP capabilities.

Is there an additional charge for Loomi Connect?

Loomi Connect is free to use during early access. This includes any future credit allocations.

Who can't use Loomi Connect?

Organizations that aren't using unified login. Complete the unified login upgrade first, then connect. Contact your Bloomreach representative to start the upgrade.

How is Conversations server usage billed?

Conversations server is free to use during early access.
