Event and attribute tracking in Loomi for Shopify

Loomi for Shopify tracks what happens in your store and sends that data to Data hub as events with attributes like a product ID, price, or search term. These events and attributes help you build segments, personalize content, and run reports.

What data we track

Loomi for Shopify tracks three types of data:

How tracking works

Loomi for Shopify tracks shopper activity and syncs data in the following ways:

  • API calls support bulk and scheduled syncs, including the initial data import and daily catalog fetches.
  • Shopify webhooks update data in real time, as soon as an order, cart, or customer record — including their consent status — changes.

Sync frequency

The following data syncs in real time, as soon as Shopify sends the update:

  • Customer data
  • Event data
  • Specific product and variant fields, such as price, status, or stock

Everything else — including metafields and smart collections — updates once a day.

Webhooks retry behavior

Shopify controls retry behavior for webhook delivery. In general, Shopify treats non-200 responses as delivery failures and may retry them. A successful response means Shopify considers the delivery accepted, even if downstream processing issues occur later inside Bloomreach.
