Customers who have implemented before August 2025 should follow the existing documentation for Engagement, Discovery, and Clarity.

Identifies the brand name of a product or variant.

The brand attribute represents the manufacturer or company brand associated with the
product. This is a critical attribute for merchandising, search, filtering, and
personalization across all applications.
Brand values should be consistent and normalized across the catalog to ensure optimal
search and filtering capabilities.

  • Brand-based faceting and filtering in search results

  • Brand boosting in search algorithms

  • Merchandising rules based on brand attributes

In Discovery, the brand attribute is used exclusively at the product level, even when
provided at the variant level.
Variant-level brand values are ignored during processing, and only the product-level
brand value is indexed and used for search, faceting, and relevancy calculations.
