Data hub is our new upgraded platform, which we rolled out in August 2025. It offers a single unified integration for passing your data through to your Bloomreach products.

You have access to Data hub if you've implemented with Bloomreach after August 2025.

Customers who have implemented before August 2025 should follow the existing documentation for Engagement, Discovery, and Clarity.

Represents the normalized color family name for a product or variant.

The color group attribute contains a standardized color family designation (e.g., "Red",
"Blue", "Green") that groups similar color variations together.
Unlike the specific color attribute which may contain detailed color names like "Navy
Blue" or "Sky Blue", color_group normalizes these to a common family like "Blue".
This normalization is essential for broader color-based search, filtering, and
merchandising strategies.

Color group is not currently utilized by Engagement application.

Discovery

Reserved Attribute Name: color_group

Used for:

• SKU Select feature for variant grouping and selection

• Search and recommendation relevancy and ranking decisions

• Normalized color faceting and filtering

• Color family-based merchandising rules

• Improved color search matching across variations

In Discovery, the color_group attribute provides a normalized approach to color-based
product discovery. At the product level, values will be aggregated from all variants to
show available color families.
At the variant level, it identifies the specific color family for that variant, enabling
intelligent grouping in SKU selection interfaces.
