1. Dynamic Categories - Automate category creation and maximize merchandising efficiency

We are thrilled to announce the Early Preview launch of our new feature - Dynamic Categories!

What's New
Dynamic Categories enables you to create dynamic assortments based on pre-set conditions. With this, products can be categorized based on certain product attributes. For instance, you can create a category page dedicated to holiday collections, where products are curated based on their price and color.

  • Bulk Operations: You can now merchandise the products within groups in bulk. The merchandising operations that you can apply are product boost, bury, sequential lock, and block.

🌟 Dashboard UI Enhancements

  1. Search options: You can now perform keyword-based searches (with partial or complete audience names) in the audience dropdown within the Product Grid Editor and the Preview module. We have also added this search feature to the audience dropdown UI within the Redirects page. You can search and filter redirects by redirect name or the username who created the redirects.

  2. Site context-type tags: A Site context-type(Site/ Site Group/Account) tag is now available for the chosen site in the top-right corner of the dashboard.

🐛Bug fixes

  1. When creating ranking rules, expired external rules no longer appear under the External Changes tab.
  2. Attribute values now appear in ascending order in the Attribute value selection modal. These values were not sorted earlier.
  3. For Cloning Configurations, the source account/site information is now correctly fetched from the source environment. Earlier, if the target environment site/account wasn't present in the source environment, the source account/site would not show on the UI.
  4. The Ranking Diagnostics UI and Preview module on the dashboard now display facets configured as range buckets and sliders.
  5. The Global Ranking Rules editor no longer displays duplicate attribute values. Earlier, duplicate values appeared when searching for an attribute value.

Visual Search - Captivate and convert shoppers with a visually immersive search experience

We are thrilled to announce the launch of our amazing new feature - Visual Search.

What's New
Visual Search empowers shoppers to search using images instead of words. This capability makes product discovery effortless as your shoppers can easily find products that are hard to put into words. After all, a picture is worth a thousand words!

Preview visual search results in the Visual Search widget dashboard

Visual Search works its magic once the shopper uploads an image. It leverages a powerful machine-learning engine that identifies all the product types in the uploaded image. The customer can then choose any product type and explore matching product recommendations. This makes the shopper's experience both personalized and engaging.

How to access this feature
In this feature iteration, we will power Fashion catalogs with Visual Search.

Search

🎉 Feature Updates

Upgrade Search Relevance with Query Relaxation to Brand Name

Today, to manage null results, when not all terms in the query are matched with any product in the feed, Bloomreach utilizes Query Relaxation and relaxes the shopper's query to only look for product type in the query. However, if customer-specified queries do not have a product type, these queries would still yield null results.

What's New

With this feature, we have enhanced the handling of search queries that contain brand name, but no identified product type. For such queries, Bloomreach will now relax the query to the brand name and retrieve the matching results.

For instance, if the shopper searches for "Addidas prime 6", the system will relax the query to "Adidas" since there's no product type in the query. This helps eliminate null results and display relevant products corresponding to the shopper’s search intent.
