Item collections

Validate incoming records and map fields to attributes faster with two new capabilities in Data hub:

  • View all fields at a glance: The new Records view lets you see all fields across all records in your item collection. Quickly identify missing or unmapped fields before configuring the schema.
  • Map fields to attributes in bulk: Select multiple fields from your records and use suggested mapping options to save setup time.

These improvements reduce manual work during item collection setup and help you get product data configured faster.

Manual import sources

Add product and variant data into your item collections directly from the Imports UI, without requiring external file hosting or storage connections:

  • Upload a file from your machine: Select or drag and drop a local CSV or XML file to run a one-time import. Supports files up to 1 GB, up to 260 columns, and a recommended maximum of 1,000,000 rows per file.
  • Paste content directly: Paste raw CSV or XML content into the UI to import data without uploading a file. Suited for testing, troubleshooting, or importing small datasets.

Both sources autodetect file format, encoding, and delimiter, with the option to override these manually. These additions make it faster to get product data into Data hub for one-off imports and low-volume testing scenarios.

Mobile SDK updates

Android SDK

Enhanced stability and compatibility improvements with our latest Android SDK 4.9.0 release:

  • App Links handling: Updates Example app to handle App Links with the new domain.
  • Android version support: Increases minimum supported Android version to 21.
  • Device ID management: Clears device ID when calling clearLocalCustomerData().
  • Documentation improvements: Updates page titles with "Android SDK" reference for improved searchability and navigation.
  • Color parsing: Fixes color parser to trim whitespace characters.
  • In-app message stability: Fixes race condition while processing in-app pending show requests.
  • URL error handling: Fixes error handling when opening URLs.
