1. New Multi-language Support for Similar Products Widget

Good news for Similar Products Recommendations customers! Similar Products will now power non-English language catalogs, including Spanish, Dutch, Polish, Swedish, Finnish, Norwegian, Danish, Italian, and Japanese.

What’s new?

Our cutting-edge algorithm understands similar product types and produces relevant recommendations for search input in the above-mentioned languages.

Why is this valuable?

This capability is useful for customers seeking multilingual support for Similar Products recommendations.

Feature access

If you are using Similar Products V2, you do not need to take any action to benefit from this capability. By default, all new customers can access Similar Products V2.
If you are using Similar Products V1, we recommend that you upgrade to Similar Products V2 to benefit from this capability.

2. New Resources for Discovery Developers

We are thrilled to announce an exciting new series of developments in Bloomreach Discovery to make our platform even more accessible and efficient for developers.

What’s new?

We’ve launched a series of resources that help developers familiarize themselves with Bloomreach Discovery:

OpenAPI Specifications (OAS) for Discovery Delivery APIs offer specifications of Bloomreach APIs in a standardized format that can be used by both developers and automated tooling to generate documentation, produce client code in different languages/frameworks, create language types and models, and more.
Discovery Web Typescript SDK streamlines the integration of Bloomreach search features onto websites by abstracting interaction with the Discovery APIs. Enjoy code auto-completion and type-checking!
Discovery Code Sample Library is the hub of reference code samples for learning about Bloomreach APIs and building integrations. Dive into core features like search, autosuggest, and recommendations with ease.

Empowering our developer community is at the heart of this endeavor. The new hands-on toolset will assist developers in implementing Discovery more quickly, easily, and effectively.

⚡Improvements

1. Visual Recommendations Support in the Dashboard

The Visual Recommendations feature, which was only usable through the API till now, will now be available in the Dashboard!

What improved?

You can search for products using a combination of Item ID and SKU ID within the Widget Configurator.
The system returns products that match with the input IDs, and other visually similar products as Recommendations.
Build use cases where shoppers can click on different products in a display image and get visually similar products to 'complete their look' or find more options.

2. Tracker version with default support for Real-Time Segments

We have implemented a new pixel tracker version, v17, which supports the Real-Time Segments (RTS) feature by default for newly integrating customers.

What improved?

The v17 tracker version has built-in support for Real-time Segments. This makes the feature enablement process more efficient.
The new tracker version will support Real-Time Segments for all customers whose websites already have the Engagement SDK live.

🐛Bug fixes

Column Layout Settings: We improved the workflow related to changing the number of products per row, specifically for read-only ranking rules and multi-site accounts.
Merchandising audience
- There were issues with selecting two different locations for a Location-based Merchandising audiences rule. We have fixed this issue.
- There were issues with renaming an existing Audience. This is now fixed.
Insights reports: There were issues in loading data in the Improve Navigation tab under Top Opportunities, which are now fixed.
Pixel Monitor
- We have improved Pixel Monitor to enforce strict validation for Category and Product pageviews.
- Pixel Monitor now accurately aligns with Events Management.
