TL;DR: New enhancements in multi-language semantic search. Fixed a minor bug to avoid errors.

⚡Improvements

We are excited to share two new enhancements in multi-language semantic search.

More precise recall: Semantic Search now supports Product type keyword precision in all non-English languages. Product type keyword precision helps improve keyword recall precision by matching products using the product type extracted from the query, synonyms, and user behavior data.
Additional language support: Bulgarian and Croatian catalogs can now benefit from semantic search capabilities.

Non-English catalogs can now leverage Bloomreach’s semantic engine to optimize search recall, enhancing the overall product discovery experience.

We have enhanced our frontend system to better handle ‘*’ queries for different merchandising operations. This improvement will help avoid 4xx errors. For a list of merchandising operations supported with the ‘*’ query, please refer to the detailed table.
