Optimize recall for every query with Dynamic vector cutoff
We're excited to announce that Dynamic vector cutoff (DVC) is now generally available to all Loomi Search+ customers.
DVC makes your vector recall query-aware, striking an optimal balance between precise results and broad exploration in real time.
What's new

Intent-aware vector recall: Earlier, static vector search precision applied one cutoff across all queries. DVC computes the optimal cutoff per query automatically. Precise queries get focused results; exploratory queries get broader recall without noise. Shoppers find relevant results regardless of their intent.

Vector precision options: Choose a precision and recall balance: Standard for balanced results or High for tighter recall. DVC uses this as a guide and adapts per query. Configure at the global and query override levels as needed.

Real-time relevance: DVC runs in real time across all query types. Head, long-tail, brand, and ambiguous queries all benefit automatically. This reduces the need for manual tuning as your catalog and query mix evolves.
Backward compatibility
DVC respects your existing vector search precision setting. For instance, if you configured Standard under static vector precision, DVC defaults to Standard.
Access
DVC is available to Loomi Search+ customers on the Premium tier. No API changes needed.

Search control studio improvements
Recall studio is now Search control studio
Search control studio name better reflects what the tool does — it gives you control over search settings across your site, not just recall.
Your existing rules and A/B tests are unaffected. Navigate to AI Studio > Search control studio and view the interface.
Enhanced settings interface
The Search control studio now shows a cleaner, optimized interface for enhanced user experience.
The updated interface shows only the most relevant options by default. Settings that require additional setup are now easier to spot and act on.
