20250205 Improved UI extension support in Content app

This Content release improves Open UI extension support in the Content app and contains several other improvements and bug fixes.

🚀 Improvements

  • Adds support to the UI extension client library for getting and setting other, primitive-typed, fields' values within the Content app.
  • Updates menu items under Setup in the left navigation bar for more clarity and consistency:
    • Content system info (was: System)
    • Content API keys (was: brXM API token management)
    • Content integrations (was: Integrations)
    • Content permissions (no change)
  • Improves error messaging in the Content Management API.

🐛 Bug fixes

  • Fixes an issue that caused an error while fetching a folder using the Content Management API.
  • Fixes an issue that caused menu items in the left navigation to appear in the wrong place.

🚧

On February 11th, 2025 a release will be rolled out to all Content customer environments which includes a bug where menu items are collected under an extensions menu. We have identified the issue and are resolving this as of Febuarry 12th. This will ensure the menus appear in the appropriate place.

Releases are deployed to customer environments 2 weeks after the date encoded in the release version. This will occur between 10:00-14:00 CET on a Tuesday for customers hosted in the US or APAC. (This is usually 4-8am EST or 18:00-22:00 AET, except during daylight saving time transitions.) For customers in the EU, this will happen on the same Tuesday between 18:00-22:00 CET. Please note that logged-in users might get logged out during the maintenance window.
