JavaScript Tracking Pixel - Bloomreach Experience - Open Source CMS

JavaScript Tracking Pixel

For best in class optimization and personalization, every page on your site must have a Javascript tracking pixel to log the activities of your site's visitors. The tracking pixel logs customer behavior and conversion events. Bloomreach uses this information to learn about your site, dynamically optimize your Bloomreach features, and generate billing data.

We ask that you deploy the pixel on your site early in your integration process. The pixel needs time to collect information. We analyze that information and recommend changes to ensure the best experience for you and your site's visitors.

Pixel Location

The pixel needs to be added to every page and every version of your site, including desktop, mobile, and tablet versions. A typical strategy includes simply adding the tracking code snippet to your global footer.

To track conversions, you also need to add the JavaScript code snippet to the first page that your customers see after they make a purchase.

Some pages include personally identifiable information (PII), especially registration pages and secure login pages. Bloomreach does not collect personally identifiable information. We recommend against integrating the pixel on pages with this kind of information. Instead, call the event tracking API to identify cart-related events.

Don't add Pixels to pages where PII is passed
Do not put the pixel on pages where PII (Personally Identifiable Information) is passed. PII includes login pages, payment details pages, delivery information pages, account settings pages, and similar pages. The pixel itself is fully compliant with SSL. Our concern is only to ensure maximum privacy for your customers. Bloomreach has no need to track changes on pages where PII is entered or exchanged within your website.
