Problem

Products in category are not ranked accurately or as expected.

Debugging Steps

To investigate the issue and the reason, follow the steps below:

  1. Check if there are any ranking rules on the dashboard for the query or the category.
  2. To know more about the signals influencing ranking, refer to the documentation.
  3. Check the Ranking Diagnostics for the search term. Check if Relevance by segment is used. If yes, apply the segment on the ranking diagnostics screen as well.
  4. Contact your technical team for the API call for the query and check if the API response shows the ranking as expected.
    a. If yes, advise your technical team to investigate further.
    b. If not, raise a ticket on the Bloomreach Support Portal and include the expected ordering, list of PIDs showing discrepancies, and the API call.
