HIPPO CMS 10.0.2 GA release notes

July 14, 2015

Hello everyone,

We are excited to announce the GA release of Hippo CMS 10. After the successful release of the Hippo CMS 10 FCS in May, we have been working hard to create a robust, hardened and enterprise grade release for General Availability. Today we are releasing this version.

Today’s release does not contain major new functionality but contains improvements and bug fixes only. See below for details.

If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact us at [email protected]

On behalf of everyone that made this release a reality,

Mark Peerdeman
Product manager

Highlights for the GA release

  • An upgrade pack for moving from Hippo CMS 7.9 to Hippo CMS 10 has been created that documents the upgrade process. Documentation can be found at [1].

  • Several parts of the UI were restyled, including:

    • Document type editor.

    • Various dialogs.

  • German and French UI language support were added next to English and Dutch.

  • Documentation of the system was updated.

  • In total, over 200 issues were solved for this release.

  • Starting with Hippo CMS 10 we switched to the Semantic Versioning Scheme [2].

Known issues

  • If, as a developer, you use Firefox to run the Hippo Setup and Feature Library (Essentials) in CMS 7.9 and 10 subsequently in the same browsing session, you might encounter unexpected behaviour. This has to do with Firefox not fully clearing it's cache. Installing Firebug and cleaning the cache manually using this plugin resolves the issue.

The Hippo CMS 10.0.2 Community Edition and Enterprise Edition are available from today onwards.
