Configure the CMS Folder Listing Page Size
Configure the page size of the CMS folder listing in order to optimize UI performance and user experience.
The CMS authoring application's content perspective displays the contents of a folder as a paged list. The default number of items per page is quite high (500), possibly causing longer load times and more mouse scrolling by the user in case of large numbers of items in one folder. Lowering the number of items per page can improve UI responsiveness and user experience.
There are two configuration properties that control the folder listing page navigation:
|list.page.size||Determines the number of items per page.||500|
|list.view.size||Determines the number of pages displayed as direct links in the page navigation (in addition to the "previous" and "next" links).||3|
The above two properties can be configured using the Console on the following nodes (each representing a folder type):
If your CMS shows degraded UI performance as a result of large numbers of items per folder, try the following values on all the above nodes:
- list.page.size = 50
- list.view.size = 10
